HORSEBACK RIDING
Just a few minutes from Casa Bachicche, a charming local riding centre offers guests the opportunity to discover the vineyards and olive groves of Chianti from a different perspective — at a slower, more peaceful pace.
Bike Experience
Casa Bachicche is ideally located in the heart of the Chianti region, offering guests the unique opportunity to step outside the house and immediately immerse themselves in the Tuscan countryside. Surrounded by scenic gravel roads, rolling olive groves and the iconic vineyards of Chianti, the area is perfect for discovering Tuscany by bike.
The location offers a variety of family-friendly gravel routes, with wide and safe paths ideal for enjoying time outdoors together. For more adventurous riders, the nearby Roveta Nature Park provides a network of mountain bike trails ranging from easier routes to more challenging paths for experienced cyclists.
A Portrait Experience
Emily Rogers is a British painter, born in Oxford in 1996, specialising in portraiture. After studying at Oxford Brookes University and Leeds Arts University, she moved to Florence, where she trained at Charles H. Cecil Studios in the traditional sight-size technique practised by the Old Masters.
Sitting for your portrait offers a unique opportunity to combine the experience of having a bespoke portrait painted with a stay in Florence. Each sitting takes place in the morning and lasts approximately three hours, leaving the rest of the day free to explore the city, its artistic treasures, and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Horse Experience
Led by professional instructors at *Chianti Horse Experience*, guests can enjoy a relaxing ride through the rolling Tuscan hills, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and breathtaking countryside. Sunset rides offer a particularly memorable way to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the landscape.
Younger members of the family are also welcome. *Chianti Horse Experience* offers pony rides, courses and introductory lessons, allowing children to discover the joy of horseback riding from an early age, while parents enjoy their own ride through the countryside.
OLIVE OIL EXPERIENCE
In collaboration with our partner *Agriturismo La Cangiana*, guests can discover the fascinating world of Tuscan olive oil through a guided visit to the olive groves and the oil mill.
The experience takes you through the entire journey of olive oil production — from the harvesting of the olives to the final stages of milling and bottling
Guests will learn about the different varieties of olive trees, the characteristics of the oils they produce, and the traditional methods that have shaped the history and culture of olive oil in Tuscany.
The experience concludes with an authentic olive oil tasting, offering the opportunity to appreciate the aromas, flavours and distinctive characteristics of the freshly produced oil.
